Onward and Upward
I didn't notice this until after I'd been on a while, but I've evolved further, from Slithering Reptile to Flappy Bird in the TTLB Ecosystem. Thanks to everyone who's been linking back here -- and if you haven't yet blogrolled me, let me know if you do so I can make sure I've blogrolled you in return!
Now that you have read this post, read the most recent entries at the new Captain's Quarters at http://www.captainsquartersblog.com/!

You are moving up the food chain! Congratulations :)

Absolutely. Congratulations.
Consistent updates, a little link-whoring, comments on other blogs, emails.....and, you know, good blogging....it takes work to build up a blog. :)
Seems to me, we're both doing the same thing. You're doing very well.

Thanks, Jon and Alicia. You guys were among the first ones to link to me, so thank you for your help. I've learned about the link-whoring this past month (it helps!), and getting involved with things like New Blog Showcase does too. I've tried the e-mail thing and not had too much luck (still trying for that elusive Instapundit link -- I'm thinking he has me killfiled by this time), but I've decided I really love Trackbacks. It's a good way to get a poor man's link after the fact, and it generates a bit of traffic. Mostly I write for the enjoyment, but I'd be lying if I said that the hits don't matter at all to me.
I think all of us are doing great -- I read both of your blogs every day, usually a few times each day to keep up. Isn't this a blast?
